Where to start... So we originally thought that when Patty came to Autofab while I was working there in early 2016 was the first time we met. That day everything changed for us for sure because it was as "love at first sight" as it gets when she walked into the room I was in, although she wouldn't shake my hand.... (I'll probably get slapped for that.) She had come up to talk to her cousin that I was working with at the time. We really didn't talk much for a while but she would show up here and there to the shop, but still wouldn't talk to me. Randy, Patty and I ended up out at dinner one night though and that's when things really took off. We exchanged phone numbers and talked non stop for quite a while. We would get breakfast or lunch or dinner as much as possible with each other for just over a year. In that time we learned that we had been around each other in different places for years and just never realized it. The most significant of those moments being when we realized we had a full interaction with each other at a concert but never made anything of it. It was at the DC101 Kerfuffle in 2015. She was apparently walking around handing French fries out to "guys she thought were cute" and that one of them took the whole cup. I remembered taking the entire fry cup from a girl that randomly decided to offer me fries that day. Thought it was odd but who turns down free fries?? We had been to the same car meets as well, hung out in a few of the same areas, etc. Flash forward to our first date. We had gone to Vocarro's in little Italy in Baltimore. That night was when we knew we were perfect for each other. I wanted to have Vocarro's be part of it again for the engagement. I worked it out so that we went down to Baltimore for a nice dinner on the same day of our first date and afterwards went to Voccaro's for cannolis where I popped the question just before walking in. July 30th can't come soon enough to seal the deal on our meant-to-be adventure.
