My sister, my twin (or so people think), my confidante. Thank you for being there for me since your birth. Abby has shaped who I am in so many ways and I will never not look up to her. She is not my partner in crime, I am hers. I may be the oldest, but I have learned more from her than anyone else. Nobody will ever know me like she does, through all the contexts of my life, and I could not image anyone else standing right next to me on my big day.

Best Man
The closest thing to a brother I could ask for. Brenden was my rat roommate at VMI and we immediately formed a bond of brotherhood. We remained best friends through the following years at school and after, as Brenden has been right alongside me for all of the ups and downs. Since he is now a Marine Pilot, we have not been able to spend much time together, but it is as though no time has passed when we are reunited.

1/3 of Donna & the Dynamos. Tanya is a beautiful soul who inspires me to be better every single day. I pray that I will never know a day without her by my side. Whether I need to laugh so hard my sides hurt or cry until the same thing happens, Tanya will be there. She is the epitome of grace and I want to be just like her when I grow up.

Despite attending the Citadel, Chuck and I immediately bonded at our Air Defense Officer Training course in Fort Sill. We traveled together to Korea and were in different units but constantly visited each other for weekends and holidays. I will never forget spending Christmas at his apartment, my first time away from my family on such an occasion. The two of us have been attached ever since as he eventually followed me back to Oklahoma where we complain about our jobs, share religion, and dream of what life will be like after the Army.

1/3 of Donna & the Dynamos. Julie is forever my hype woman. My late night movies & dance parties in the garage woman. Half of my Jemma Cannellis heart. She is the most genuine, kind, and brave person that I have ever met, yet is simultaneously the funniest person I have ever met. I have no clue where I would be without her love and energy.
Andrew Farmer

Andrew is a natural leader, gets along with everyone, and loves the Army more than anyone I know. Farmer and I were immediate friends at VMI, eventually rooming together our senior year (and sharing a mega-hay). As one of my best traveling buddies, we are always planning our next adventure (probably to the beach), no matter where in the world we are or how many years have passed.

203 forever. Katie Kern and I lived a fever dream together our freshman year at Washington and Lee. From cookout runs, elevated surfaces, blue ridge vent sessions, morning debriefs, and sleepovers every night we did it all. I am so glad I had my spunky redhead by my side to push me to be my best and my worst ;) Never forget FYSTEC!

The best shotgun seat passenger when one is under the scrutiny of the law. Massey and I became friends at VMI, visited each other while studying abroad and solidified our friendship on the lacrosse team. One of the founding fathers of the Goat House, Massey and I share many memories and hardships during the covid years. Massey and I continue to keep up over Xbox and trips to visit each other when able.

My oldest friend. Always honest, always true, kind to a fault. Always giggling, always chaotic good, always dreaming of the water. We have so many memories that I will always cherish- first margs in Mexico, boat trips through storms, sleepovers in the green room, you driving me around for a full year (and getting pulled over in the neighborhood... OOPS). Lexi feels like home and will forever be a friend.

My closest cousin, Andrew has always been more of a big brother to me and shares some of my best memories from childhood. Whether we were playing football in the front yard, running around the neighborhood or teaching me how to shotgun a beer, Andrew has always been there for me and had my back.

My beautiful soon-to-be sister, even though we have been like sisters for far longer. From the second we met in 2020 she has welcomed me with open arms and stayed by my side when she didn't have to. Thank you for always matching (and sometimes exceeding!) my energy, for always being down for a phone call, and most of all thank you for being my friend through everything. I can't wait to officially be your sister!

The newest addition to my small circle of friends, Will is everything I could ask for in a brother-in law. We share a passion for engineering, as well as a love for our family. I look forward to many more Cannella family beach weeks and growing even closer for years to come!

Parker is a world traveling, side hustling, guys swimming, jovial kid at heart. Parker and I became friends through lacrosse at VMI and sealed our friendship through shenanigans at the Goat House our senior year. Parker is always supportive and never fails to call Emma and I when we need a laugh or just to catch up, and may be the most excited to see Emma and I finally getting married.
