You could say our story started twice. We grew up knowing of each other through a mutual friend and a few times hanging out, but it wasn’t until one random day when Brandon sent Emily a Snapchat that things really began. Within just a few messages, he asked her to prom. Emily thought, “Well, he’s cute, and that sounds fun,” so she said yes. Prom night was… well, let’s just say we were both a little too awkward to get a love story out of it, and things fizzled quickly after. But as Brandon likes to joke, it didn’t take long for Emily to come “crawling back.” Fast forward to 2020, when the world shut down, and fate gave us a second chance. What started as a few messages turned into 24-hour FaceTime marathons, “quarantine dates” watching Love Is Blind (where Brandon not-so-subtly made comments about our future wedding), and laughing through every episode of Tiger King. Eventually, we got to see each other in person again, and this time, everything clicked. We made up for lost time, became inseparable, and never looked back. Now, almost eight years later, that awkward prom date has turned into forever. We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you!
