Camille and Haison initially met in the fall of 2007 as Freshmen at Johnson C. Smith University. Camille’s lively personality contrasted with Haison’s quiet demeanor, but they formed a deep bond despite their differences through late-night study sessions and heartfelt conversations. When Haison left to enlist in the military, Camille supported him, though their connection faded over time. By 2022, both had matured and reconnected, discovering a deeper bond enriched by their experiences. Their rekindled friendship blossomed into love. They shared new adventures and dreams, realizing they had found what they had always been searching for: a profound connection. Their journey highlights that true love isn't about perfection but about finding someone with whom to build a meaningful life. Grateful for their second chance, Camille and Haison look forward to a future together, celebrating their love's resilience and growth.

In the spring of 2024, Haison and Camille joined his family for a trip to a cozy cabin in the Tennessee mountains, celebrating Haison’s late grandmother. Leading up to the trip, Camille couldn’t shake the suspicion that Haison was planning something special. His insistence on her getting her nails done and his mysterious errands hinted at a surprise. It was a joyful trip and the family bonded over games, movies, and exploring the sights, but as the trip drew to a close, Camille began to think maybe the proposal wasn't going to happen. However, Haison and the family were waiting for the right moment. Things almost went to the left when Camille injured her finger the day before the proposal! Thankfully, it wasn’t her ring finger, and everyone secretly breathed a sigh of relief. On the final night of the trip, the family hosted a karaoke and game night filled with laughter and cheer. When it was Haison’s turn, his cousin played a slideshow of photos showcasing their relationship. As Haison sang "Every Moment" by Jodeci, he pulled Camille to the center of the room. On one knee, he presented her with a stunning ring. Overwhelmed with emotion and surrounded by cheers, Camille accepted, marking the beginning of their new chapter together. The family celebrated the moment, delighted to officially welcome Camille into their lives.
