Growing up, Cane White and Aubree McCune had their paths cross often while being raised in small town Kaufman, Texas. Cane played peewee football, coached by Aubree’s dad (Scott McCune), while Aubree was on the sidelines as a cheerleader. Later on, Aubree even had Cane’s mom (Samantha White) as her third-grade teacher! One Wednesday in the summer of 2017, Cane and Aubree finally connected at their church's youth group. They instantly clicked and were pretty much inseparable from that day on. And they made it official on September 5, 2017. In 2020, the pandemic made it difficult to see each other, and not long after, Aubree moved to Sherman to attend Austin College. A year later, Cane headed to College Station for Texas A&M. Long-distance, Facetimes and road trips became their new normal, but their bond never wavered. By December 2024, they had both finished their degrees and finally moved in together. Then in March 2025, after 7 and a half years together, Cane proposed to Aubree at the Dallas Arboretum. It’s been a long, steady journey built on years of shared history, growth, and friendship — and they’re excited for everything that’s ahead.
