Her Story I saw him first. He was handsome with a confident swag as he did his two-step dance in a video from a wine festival. I was instantly intrigued, but hesitant to make the first move. Recalling my sister quoting Proverbs 18:22: "He who finds a wife finds a good thing…”, I decided to let fate take the wheel. If it was meant to be, he would find me; but I still prayed that he’d find me! His Story I decided to give my search for my future wife one more try. I remember praying about it earlier that day. Then, I saw her. My first thought was that she was stunningly beautiful with an amazing smile. So, I introduced myself and wished her a Happy New Year. She responded kindly, admitting that she saw me first but waited for me to make the move. We exchanged numbers and spent hours talking on the phone and texting every day. We shared a passion for family, food, and binge-watching TV shows. After a week, I asked her out on our first date. Our Love Story The anticipation of our first date was high. We decided to meet at one of my favorite local spots, Cooper’s Hawk Winery. We both arrived wearing all black and in identical black vehicles, like twins. The chemistry between us was intense, almost magnetic. It was as if we had known each other for years. Our eyes met and time seemed to stand still. The night ended with a hug and kiss, and my oldest son keeping watch from the restaurant parking lot, ensuring the date ended well! After that night, he told me that he knew God had answered his prayers for a wife. Over the next 77+ dates, our love grew stronger, with his intentions clear and consistent. On a romantic evening at the National Harbor, he proposed to me at the top of the Capital Wheel. Without hesitation, I said, yes! Our love story is a testament to God's perfect timing in guiding us to find our person. We’re excited to begin our journey into forever together.
