We suggest flying in to Lima (Jorge Chavez Airport) between Wed/Thurs Jan 7th/8th so you can enjoy Miraflores/Central Lima for a couple days and be there for Carlos and Yvonne's Welcome event on Friday. The wedding will be Saturday and you can recover poolside all day Sunday so you can be ready to leave for various day trips to Ica Huacachina Oasis or to the New Wonder of the World Machu Picchu. Feel free to ask us questions to help plan your individual trip or browse the App Gate 1 travel.
The performance of the American Dollar is such that everything from hotels to fine dining are relatively affordable. The most expensive thing you'll pay for is your flight.
Just like Los Angeles, Lima is a big city with pockets of neighborhoods that are more desirable than others (think Beverly Hills vs. Downtown LA). With that said, we suggest our guests stay in Miraflores, San Isidro or Barranco (in order of preference) which will all be within 30 minutes of our wedding venue. If you are visiting Machu Picchu, you'll want to look for accommodations in Aguas Calientes and Cusco.
Traffic in Lima can give Los Angeles traffic a run for its money! However traveling by Uber is relatively inexpensive and as long as you're not alone, Uber is probably the safest way to travel within the city. For those day trips we suggest reputable transportation companies that have hotel pick ups and drop offs. Carlos & Yvonne are providing transportation to and from the actual wedding ceremony and reception for those staying in Miraflores. Updates will be posted here.
Our ceremony starts at 5:00pm and the party lasts until 1:30am! All the magic happens at the same venue. Don't miss anything as we promise you'll regret it!
Please RSVP on this website as soon as possible so you can receive updates to trip information.
