After endlessly scrolling through online dating profiles without any luck, a specific profile had caught Cody's attention, and he messaged Candice. She had many intriguing elements to her profile... her love language was carbs, she needed a 4th to play Hearts, she enjoyed cozy mornings with a mug of coffee, she had an adorable, chubby cat, and she was wearing a Costco hotdog t-shirt in the one photo... what wasn't to love!? Candice was equally intrigued by Cody's profile... he seemed to also have good taste in food and wine, he appeared to be a nice balance of outdoorsy and homey, and he was into birds! After some back and forth banter around banana slugs, birds, pasta, mayonnaise, coffee, and wine barrels, the two arranged an in-person meetup. Their first date was starting off amazingly well until unexpectedly another random couple crashed it; a chaotic yet charming first chapter to their story. On their second date they went birdwatching and shared cronuts (a delicious pastry that's as if a donut and a croissant had a baby) and the great conversation continued. They both found more than just nature and delicious, layered pastries that day; they had each found their forever person. They've been inseparable since that 2nd date, and the rest is history!
