We met at our local beach during a volleyball game with family and friends in 2013 (Tanner and Rholyn were our matchmakers)! I’m not sure what caught his attention at first, it was either my blue eyes or the burritos I brought. It took us many phone calls and texts until we finally had our first date at our favorite restaurant, Akira. We talked for hours and were inseparable since. We still often eat at that restaurant and always try to sit at “our” table.

This was not a normal mountain bike ride, this was the ride to remember. Travis and I started the bike ride in Santa Cruz and road UPHILL for miles, thankfully he is the most supportive riding partner out there, encouraging and coaching me the whole way, until we stopped at a bench which overlooked the ocean. He asked “what snacks did you bring” as I looked over he was on one knee holding the ring and said “I brought this snack, will you marry me?”. Of course I said YES! We could not be more excited to celebrate the next step in our journey with each of you, who have played (and will continue to play) such an important part in our adventure! See you in Saratoga!
