It’s a very 21st century story, we met on Tinder. We both had low expectations and then we both swiped right and started talking. We knew before we met had found the one. Our first date was at La Madeline for coffee and pastry, we sat and talked and we didn’t want the date to end. It was the day before thanksgiving and I was about to go out of town for the holiday. We reluctantly said our goodbyes and have spoken to each other every day since then. We knew there was no looking back.
Our engagement was amazing. After many discussions we knew we wanted to get married. We wanted to make sure the ring was perfect so we consulted with a local jeweler who sourced and created a ring that we loved. Stan did want to surprise Candice, so he planned everything. Our wedding date is April 4, 2024, 04, 04, 24. Stan wanted to keep that in mind for the proposal. Stan set the date of the proposal for July 14. Candice had no idea how or where I was going to propose. Stan made a reservation for us at Bohannon’s steakhouse in downtown San Antonio. We took an Uber downtown, and Stan instructed the driver not to announce the destination until we get there. Candice knew it was coming. The anticipation was killing her. After dinner, when we were waiting for our dessert, I took out the ring and put it on the table, she got super excited I would start a conversation about us, or how amazing our relationship is, or how wonderful she is, and then I would change the subject. When we were about to get our dessert, I told Candice, I guess there is one last thing to do. You could see the sparkle and her eye, and her smile was absolutely radiant. I told her I guess the only thing left to do is, I trailed off, is to decide whether or not we want coffee with our dessert The look on her face I stood up. I got on my knee in front of her. I could see the entire room watching us, and I could feel their eyes on the back of my head lol. I open the box, and I asked her if she would marry me. Of course, she said yes We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Las Vegas!
