Drive, bus, hike, bike - whatever your fancy, this park is amazing and you need to see it! It takes about an hour to drive from the main entrance to the east entrance and back.......it is worth it! The visitors center also offers buses to transport people through the park, a great alternative that gets you access to areas of the park where cars aren't allowed.
Ok, so this is part of Zion that I haven't secured permits to yet but it is on my bucket list for sure! The Narrows is one of the most spectacular parts of ZNP and the bottom up hike is an easy to moderate hike that is relatively short - you can basically do as much or as little of it as you want. One warning, you do walk through water (so your feet will get wet) BUT the water will be pretty low in the fall (ankle to calf). Keep an eye on the permits available for this hike via the Zion National Park web site, it would be a trip highlight for sure! Boat, ATV, UTV, Dirt Bike, and Mountain Bike rentals - Make sure to book ahead of time as October is a super busy month in Southern Utah. From their location you can zip through town over to sand dunes (see picture at the top of this page) and cruise on some of the coolest (and hottest) sand. Need to cool off? No problem, the dunes surround a natural spring lake with crystal clear water and an invitation to chill.
I have not used them for outings but have spoken with them a few times when we were looking at East Zion Resort as a venue. Great people and they offer guided ATV, Hiking, and Rappelling adventures! You should totally try rappelling into a slot canyon....its amazing!
