Pack your bags— we’re getting MARRIED!

We met in a very unexpected way—but it worked! During the COVID-19 pandemic, when the world stopped and everyone was forced to social distance, the Prime Minister had everyone lined up by the first letter of our surnames, fate somehow made Hasan and Candice cross paths. While the rest of the world was in lockdown, we somehow created our own little world — and numbers were exchanged. For months, we cyber-dated until September 2020, when freedom was reintroduced to Nassau. After some time, we decided to plan our first date at Island House… then Hasan caught COVID lol. After doing time in solitary confinement, he was released, and we later agreed that September 25th, 2020, would officially be our first date. When Hasan saw Candice, he had the biggest smile on his face, and his cheeks turned red — he was smitten. We had so much to talk about; it was an instant connection. Being the gentleman he is, Hasan gave Candice a gift to make up for missing her birthday (tricky!). After months of dating, lots of traveling, cultural differences, and Hasan’s patience — it all paid off! On December 30th, 2023, at 1:51 PM, during our ski trip, Hasan proposed to Candice at the mountain peak of Mount Kudebi in Gudauri, Georgia. For us, we found a best friend, a home, a travel companion — and most importantly, a lifetime partner in each other.
