Awful Annie’s
Great Breakfast not too far from the Springhill Suites. A popular spot for those going up the hill to ski and snowboard so there may be a wait, call ahead just in case!
Mountain Mike’s Pizza
One of our California pizza chains, you either like Round Table or Mountain Mike’s!
Round Table Pizza
The go to spot for my out of state family. Round Table and Mountain Mike’s are the two pizza chains that my family tries to visit when they come back to California. Round Table has branched out to some other states but like In N Out, it’s better where it’s originally from.
Boreal Ridge
Boreal is one of the first larger snow ski spots you will pass if you are on your way to Tahoe. I’m putting Boreal on the list for recommendations because in drought months and times where snowfall was low, Boreal makes their snow. There are spots right off the exit pull over to go tubing and play in the snow.
Donner Ski Ranch
Donner is a more affordable place to go ski and snowboard, just past Boreal this is a great ski ranch for beginners to learn at a good price.
Olympic Valley
Home of the 1960 Winter Olympics, this resort is right next to Lake Tahoe near Tahoe City.
