We’re getting married!

We were both serving at Word of Life Youth Camp over the summer when we first met. Thiago was the supervisor for a lot of the activities that they had going on and I was a lifeguard. He would help the lifeguard supervisor out a lot with running workouts and serving in his free-time. Through this, he was a huge encouragement to me in the work that we were doing. We seemed to instantly connect. Before we knew it, summer camp was over and I was in Tampa for school while he was in Orlando. The spark never died out! The Lord continued to work through our relationship and desires to bring us closer together. Praise God for the way that He knitted things together. Seeing each other in ministry and serving exposed our hearts for an eternal purpose. TYJ that we can love since You loved first.

There is a lake in a nearby town that Thiago and I would go get coffee and watch the sunset over breaks that I had from school. Fast-forward... I was having a really tough week at work. Thiago was gone on a "business trip". He kindly offered for us to have a nice day at the lake and watch the sunset on my next day off. I was so happy to catch a break from work and spend some quality time. Little did I know, there was no business trip. Thiago had driven up to my hometown in Alabama to get my mom's wedding ring from my dad. He did this all in ONE day! Just that next day we were at our spot. As soon as we get off of the pier and the sun was setting, I turned around and he was down on one knee. After quite a few moments of disbelief, I said "of course" and we were engaged! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
