On one of Candace's birthday trips to NY, her plans to meet her best friend, Drea, took a turn for the best! The ladies planned on brunching that fateful morning of January 12, 2020, but that all changed when Candace received a call. It was Drea asking her to brunch alone because she was recovering from the night before and suggested meeting up at Washington Square Park later that afternoon. So off Candace went to a little spot in Brooklyn called, "The Rabbithole!" Minding her business journaling and enjoying her Bloody Mary, she noticed two gentlemen walk in carrying helmets, who "just happened" to take the two empty bar stools next to her (months later she found out Chris spotted her and purposefully sat in those stools just to spark a conversation). The three instantly connected as Chris joked sarcastically, "You've never met bikers who brunch??!! This is normal!" With a blink of an eye, she made new brunch friends......not knowing that this would turn into a romance you only see in the movies. Candace and Chris kept in touch on social media over the next 3 months and when COVID hit in March 2020, it became increasingly apparent that this connection came just in the knick of time. The two got to know one another and grew even closer, establishing a rare connection in this digital world. After all of the texts, phone calls, IG 'heart-eye' emojis, and late night FaceTime calls, Chris decided to trek up to San Francisco in June to meet for the first time, in person, since they met in Brooklyn. From the moment Candace picked Chris up from the airport, she knew that this man was special 💕....and he was happy she looked the same as he remembered! Lol! Even though the excitement was accompanied by anxiety when seeing someone for the first time in 6 months, there was also a familiarity and level of comfort & safety she had never felt before. From that point on, the two were inseparable and Chris made yet another leap to flip his world upside down and move to San Francisco for his girls. 🥰 In the years following COVID, the two spent time with daughter, Reilly Caelyn, strengthening their bond as a family, and exploring the world as Chris travelled as a drummer. They created memories in Ireland, Scotland, France, Spain, the UK, the US, and of course, Italy, where Chris proposed on May 2, 2022. Which brings us to this next chapter of their lives....you will be a special part of their fairytale as we travel back to the fateful spot where the universe brought them together.
