We met serving at a Lifeteen summer camp in 2023 in San Diego, California. Once the summer was over, Juan went back to where he lived in San Antonio, Texas, and I went back to Tallahassee, Florida. We kept in touch, and eventually Juan flew to Tallahassee to see me and ask me to be his girlfriend. September 23, 2023 began our long distance relationship! We became dedicated Facetimers and American Airlines loyalty members, fostering a love that was not deterred by 800 miles of distance. Almost two and a half years later, on February 22nd, 2026, Juan asked me to be his wife at the St. Mark's Lighthouse, right back where we had our first date and he asked me to be his girlfriend. We couldn't be more excited to begin the life God has prepared for us since the very moment we met!
