Third time's the charm!

While we were over-the-moon excited to celebrate with you all, 2020 clearly had different plans. We will be getting married in Welches, OR with our immediate family on September 22nd and can't wait to share all of the pictures and videos with all of you! It's unfortunate we can't celebrate with all of you but we'll be thinking of you as we tie the knot in a small, hopefully smoke-free ceremony.

How it all began

Zach and Sarah first met on a canoe trip back in 2012. While it was a simple "Hi, I'm Zach. Hi, I'm Sarah", their lives would be forever entwined from that moment forward. In the year that followed, Zach moved from LA to San Diego and, remembering that Sarah George from the canoe trip, sent a quick Facebook message. That exchange of Facebook messages led to Zach meeting up with Sarah for a drink in Pacific Beach. That sealed it. From that point forward, something special was in the works. A ski trip to Tahoe a few weeks later brought them together again and after Zach's 12 hour drive back to San Diego, he popped in to say to hello and stayed for hours. Never again would the two of them go very long without chatting. There were countless nights of skyline gazing from Kate Sessions Park with one of those nights even ending with the sprinklers turning on and drenching them...you know...like in the movies. They were smitten, they were falling in love, and they were becoming "Sarah and Zach".

The Proposal

Sarah pinged Zach at work saying "there is a huge sale on flights from Portland to Brussels..." At that moment, Zach knew the perfect way to propose had just dropped into his lap. Unbeknownst to Sarah, Zach got to ring-shopping and the two of them started planning the trip of a lifetime. During their stop in Bruges, Zach got down on one knee, on a centuries old stone bridge, and asked Sarah to marry him. Before he could even finish his little speech, she pulled him up and gave a resounding "YES!"
