FAQs

Anita will be the superhero of our weekend, handling any questions guests may have while on site. We will share her information here prior to the event.
Question

What should I pack?

Answer

We will post & send an updated packing list as the date approaches. In the meantime, plan on your most comfortable shoes, layers, and sunscreen. All events are planned outside - it will likely be warm during the day and a little chilly at night. Attire for the wedding day (Sat) is cocktail hour with optional flash, but remember it’s camp. There are trees, dirt and lawn games so stay comfy. The rest of the weekend is casual. If you're staying in a cabin: bed linens, pillows, blankets, towels, toiletries, shower flops.

Question

What are some local food options?

Answer

It's a great idea to bring a cooler with food if you'd prefer not to spend time / money eating out. Here are some local options if you'd prefer the take out route! BREAKFAST OPTIONS: Jambs on Main (Cafe and Deli) Dogwood Bread Company Inn on the Library Lawn Winton's Tavern - Golf Club (opens at 11am) Westport Marina (opens at 11am) RESTAURANT OPTIONS: Westport Yacht Club Westport Marina Winton's Tavern (at Westport Golf Club) Westport Hotel and Tavern Deer's Head (in nearby town Elizabethtown)

Question

Can I swim at Camp?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to liability concerns there is absolutely no swimming allowed at Camp. We ask that you respect Camp Dudley's policy. You should still pack a swimsuit as we have access to plenty of paddle boards, kayaks & canoes.

Question

Can I stay in one of the cabins?

Answer

We would love to have you stay at the camp with us! The cabins all have electricity, a working fireplace, and several bunks. There are shared bath houses in close proximity to all cabins. You will need to bring your own linens and/or sleeping bag, or pack a blow up mattress to set in the middle of the cabin. We will share a suggested packing list as the weekend approaches! A limited number of lodges are also available for anyone who needs access to a private or semi-private bathroom. While it's always nice to have your own amenities, please note that private spaces will be reserved for those that need it most.

Question

Cabins aren't my thing. Where can I stay?

Answer

We understand that not everyone is the happiest camper in a cabin. There are plenty of lovely places to stay in & around Westport that we have listed in the STAYING AT CAMP DUDLEY tab. NOTE: We suggest booking early to guarantee you have a comfortable reservation due to the fact that it's a holiday weekend (Westport is a small town and local accommodations don't provide hotel blocks). If you have any questions, please reach out!
