There are endless things to do in Acadia National Park. These are just a few of our favorites!

You can drive, park, and walk/climb on the rocks, listening to the thunder like waves crashing on shore.

Thunder Hole

A rocky beach great for exploring, tide pool gazing, or picnicking.

Seawall

A short hike down to low bluffs to jump off or walk into Echo Lake.

A small, serene swim spot with a rock you can swim out to.

Somes Pond

Cadillac Mountain is the tallest mountain on the East Coast of the United States. You can hike or drive up to see amazing views of the island. The summit is also the first place you can see the sunrise in the United States.

Two adjacent mountains that you can hike individually for a short trip or loop through both for a more moderate hike.

South and North Bubble Mountain

The Natural History Museum at College of the Atlantic is a great rainy day activity for all ages (especially kids). It is donation based entry and has a live touch tank of sea creatures and displays of local flora and fauna.

George B. Dorr Museum of Natural History

An easy, lovely walk along the water in downtown Bar Harbor. Lots of rocks to explore and climb on below the gravel path.
