Jason and I don't really drink, we will probably bring a bottle or two of tequila and some coronas. If you want to drink, we encourage you to bring your own alcohol.
Birch Bay is not technically a town, so officially the town is called Blaine, but we live in the bay that is called Birch Bay and the events will all be taking place within Birch Bay State Park.
We will not be arranging transportation for any additional people. You are all more than welcome to rent a car and follow the wedding party up to Artist Point, it is beautiful. The roads are narrow, switch back mountain roads, and does climb to the highest drivable point in Mount Baker National, if you are not comfortable and confident in making this drive, we can help connect guests with others who are driving to carpool but nothing is promised.
Technically, you cannot smoke in public spaces or in public views. Edibles and discretion is encouraged.
Please dress comfortably for camping! After the elopement, the entire wedding party will be changing into casual comfort clothes. Bring warm clothes or sweats and summer clothes, a rain jacket would also be a good idea. If you are in the wedding party, plan on having shoes to hike short distances in, do not wear heels, sneakers, boots, and possibly a shoe for the beaches.
Expect anything from 50-75 degrees Farenheit. Also expect sunshine and misty drizzles, end of summer in Washington is not the most predictable.
Hotdogs, Hamburgers, Black Bean Burgers, Vegan Dogs, veggie platter, and desserts.
Bring a rain jacket and sweats or warm clothes. It may or may not be warm enough to swim, it is hard to predict this far in advance. Tent and sleeping supplies. If you cannot bring them, notify the bride and groom as soon as possible.
The bride and groom are purchasing and borrowing camping and sleeping gear for all that need it. We understand flying with these items is extremely difficult and unlikely. We just ask that you notify us in your RSVP so we can ensure there are accommodations for everyone.
