Officiant
Who better to marry the bride and groom than the groom's father himself? One to always give a great speech at family gatherings, this will be his first time officiating a wedding!
Best Man
Brother to the groom. Their early childhood may have consisted of a lot of fighting, but as they got older (and Matthew bigger), they became best friends. Whenever both are free, they spend time together golfing, fishing, and mountain biking.
Bridesmaid
A 23-year-long friendship (to date), the bride met Sara at cheerleading tryouts the summer before 6th grade after she told Sara that she looked just like Deena from 7th Heaven. During middle school, they spent all their time together figuring out their middle-school lives over AIM, going to the lake, and jumping on the trampoline. They made it through the teenage years together and then lived together through college, after which they both eventually ended up in Charleston living only a few miles apart.
Groomsman
The groom first met Zach in fourth grade and have been lifelong friends since. They spent way too many hours staying up all night playing video games together.
Bridesmaid
The bride met Halei when she got a job at Calhoun Corners Restaurant while attending Clemson in 2007. They spent many, many nights together working at Calhoun, going to Clemson games, shopping...doing pretty much everything together. Fast forward 15 years, and they're still best friends who have traveled the world together, always bonding over a shared love of singing (still waiting to be discovered!), good food and wine, and any animals.
Groomsman
The twin brother to Zach; another lifelong friend. Favorite memories together consist of playing ding-dong-ditch and competing on wrestling teams together.
Bridesmaid
Chris and the bride met as a lot of people do--growing up in the same town together. There is no clear "first memory," but rather a slow amalgamation of memories from high school through college, when eventually they also worked at Calhoun Corners together and became closer friends. When Megan moved to Charleston, Chris moved a year later and they lived together for almost two years, spending most of their time going on countless beach walks and coffee dates, swapping books, and eating all of the amazing Charleston food.
Groomsman
The best belay (climbing) partner and dog sitter around. He is one of the first people called whenever the groom has a crazy idea or plans an outdoor adventure.
Bridesmaid
Megan met Emily in their first week of grad school at The Citadel, and cannot imagine going through that program without her. From 2014 to 2016, they spent almost every single day together whether it was in class, as grad assistants in the same department, or going to Park Cafe or somewhere else for wine. Since graduating, they've been able to cheer each other on through all of life's adventures.
Groomsman
The groom's freshman-year suite-mate at College of Charleston and roommate throughout college. Many lifelong memories were made together on porches throughout Charleston.
Bridesmaid
The bride's future sister-in-law! Lucy and Megan started dating the Steinbacher brothers around the same time in 2020. The girls met each other soon after, and have since spent many weekends and dinners together! The bride could not ask for a better sister-in-law to join in all their upcoming adventures!
Groomsman
A childhood friend's roommate in college, he eventually became a roommate of the groom. The biggest fan of mastering the creation of Italian "red sauce" and fellow chef to the groom's many cooking experiments.
Bridesmaid
Elizabeth and the bride were in the same small program together at Clemson--Graphic Communications--but actually didn't really meet until they did a Maymester abroad program to Italy, Austria, and Germany in 2009. After bonding over their love of traveling and Jolly, the bike tour guide in Germany, they returned to Clemson as new friends, finishing the program together. Since graduating in 2010, they have lived thousands of miles apart, but have continued to see each other at least once every year and talk weekly.
Groomsman
The college friend-group hype man and roommate through college and after until the groom met Megan. Too many good memories too list but surfing on Folly or Kollin buying bottle service constantly are near the top. Whether it's a skiing, climbing, or lake trip, Kollin is always a part of it.
Bridesmaid
The bride met Michéla in 2010 while she sat on her porch in Louisville. The story goes that Michéla had tried to wave to Megan multiple times without any response, but Megan swears she doesn't remember this. Luckily, Michéla didn't give up and they eventually became best friends living right next to each other and seeing each other almost every single day. Whether it was setting up a laptop on the porch for a Harry Potter marathon, walking to Cahoot's, or going to horse races, they made a lot of memories in just one year and have stayed good friends since.
Groomsman
Former roommate to the bride and groom. The master of one-liners and other goofy statements. Unfortunately, his name is spelled wrong, but he is a great friend nevertheless.
