If there is a plus one listed on your formal invitation, absolutely!
Of course! We'll provide drinks for the welcome party and the wedding events! We do ask if you'd bring your favorite case of beer/wine/liquor in your cooler to sip on, if you'd like, in the between times/after parties!
We love your kids! Unfortunately our venue being on the lake and areas off limits without staff there, we'd like you to enjoy the weekend not having to keep a close eye on them. We hope you understand and enjoy your time off!
This stay is on us! There are three separate cabin areas that can sleep up to 200! We plan to split it family, Bek's pals/cousins, and Andrew's pals/cousins. One section, where the family will be, has 4 bunks on each side with a shared bathroom inside each cabin and right by all the action so you won't be a far walk! The other two sets have 4 bunks in each cabin space with shared bathhouses. We don't plan to jampack any of the spaces, so none of them should be at full capacity to give everyone some space! The cabins all have electricity and heating as well if it were to get chilly at night! We'll be "assigning" cabins based on who everyone is related to/friends with to try and avoid too much bunking with any strangers but once everyone checks in they're more than welcome to move around as they please! Each cabin has a picnic table and firepit if you're looking to spend some time with your own close friends or family away from the crowd! You will need to bring twin-sized sheets/pillow for your stay, if you are flying in/traveling and unable to we'll have it a part of the RSVP and we can provide the the setup you'd need! The mattresses are memory foam & twin-sized - if you're concerned about comfort or if this is just not your vibe in general check out the hotel option!
Yes! Once you check in you're able to drive your car up to the cabin and drop off any belongings to unload then park in the main lot at the entrance! For getting around all locations are in close proximity and also accessible by car if we need to transport people from space to space! The only issue would be possibly the ceremony area with it being downhill so we can assign drivers to make sure all get down safely! The cabins, showers, bathrooms are all handicap accessible as well!
The general list if you plan to stay in the cabins with us is: twin-size bedding/pillow, overnight necessities (shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, face wash), for the ladies maybe a little makeup mirror to help with getting ready, wedding guest outfit, warm clothes (for the chilly nights by the fire), comfortable clothes to do the activities in (sneakers, leggings, shorts, sweatshirt), your personal preference of beverage for after parties or drinks during the day, a cooler to keep beverages cold if needed, and a camping chair if you'd like!
There will be transportation from camp to the hotel Friday and Saturday night - one pickup time & two drop off times one for the earlier crowd heading back and one for the late night crowd! If you're not staying on property with us, you're more than welcome to attend any and all events of the weekend but we cannot accommodate the transportation back and forth for all of those!
Come dressed in your best cowboy cocktail attire! We're excited to celebrate with a BBQ and welcome all our guests with something fun! Ideas: Gals: sundress, maxi dress, two piece set, cowgirl boots (think fringe, fur, patterns, velvet) Fellas: Jeans and button up, sports coats, bolo ties, cowboy hat
We'd love for you to dress up with us for the wedding! Semi-Formal will work just fine! For the ladies this means cocktail dresses, midi-dress, jumpsuits, floor length, really anything you feel & look great in! For the fellas a suit or dress pants with a dress shirt!
We'll be sending out formal invites with RSVP info and date to RSVP by on them but RSVP-ing will be done all online, no need to mail anything back!
Not at all! That's just when we will open up to our guests, you'll be able to do "camp check-in" with the staff cabin assignments and info for the weekend will be given! If you want to come down after work on Friday, Saturday morning, or just for the wedding itself, that's completely fine! When we send out the formal invitations, we'll include in the online RSVP a spot to let us know which events you'd be able to attend. This will help us know when everyone is arriving! We get access to the space by noon and plan to be there. If you can only catch an earlier flight on Friday you're more than welcome to arrive before 5pm, just let us know!
Our guests will have access to 4 hours of "staffed activities!" This includes: Zip lining, climbing wall, archery, canoes/paddle boards, and rifle range. Due to it being later in the season, we may need to schedule these at certain times/pick certain ones that they will be able to coordinate with staff!
Of course we have the entire summer camp to ourselves and there are tons of activities that don't require any staffing at all! We will have use of athletic field for wiffleball games, ultimate frisbee, soccer. There are other courts elsewhere in camp including: volleyball, basketball, pickleball and a gaga pit. There's also the option to go fishing on the lake, they provide the equipment (no need to pack your own unless you absolutely need your lucky rod.) Of course no camp would be complete without a low ropes course, Karaoke, ping pong tables, maybe a round of bingo, and multiple hiking trails to check out!
Enjoy your time at camp! You can read a book, hangout with loved ones, or you can head into town to explore and grab a bite to eat. It's your time to do whatever you'd like to do! Somerset, PA is about a 20 minute drive from Camp Soles!
Yes! We have access to a large kitchen at the camp, so if you have any medications, special dietary foods, or snacks you might want to bring for in between events, you can either keep them in the cabin or in the kitchen area, or the rec room fridge!
On the RSVP we will be asking about any restrictions that anyone might have and we will make sure we will be able to accommodate accordingly!
The rules are basically no rules, just don't be a jerk! There's no quiet hours, so for the late night crowd try to hangout by the large firepit away from the cabins or up in the rec room so that those who would like to sleep can! Make sure to clean up after yourself, there will be trashcans throughout the area to dispose of your cups/beer cans with staff regularly emptying them throughout the weekend! Make sure when you're done with a space or activity to put the equipment back that you used! Don't go on the climbing wall/zip line area/in the lake/canoes when it's not in the allotted staff time. Those activities are considered staffed activities and cannot be done at your leisure! If you are smoking on the property please use the designated smoking areas set up and the ashtrays, do not throw any cigar or cigarette butts around the property or put them out where it'd leave marks, remember it's a summer camp! For extra bathrooms, the bottom of the dining hall area has newly renovated bathrooms with three stalls and three showers in the men's and women's room to use outside of your cabin area that you're welcome to use in addition to your cabin restroom!
Welcome dinner/drinks (beer/seltzer and wine), Saturday brunch with mimosas, wedding event meals (cocktail hour/dinner/drinks (liquor, beer/seltzer, wine), stay in the cabins, firewood for the firepits, toilet paper, handsoap, paper towels for the bathrooms & a dang good time with friends and family for a weekend!
You can text Bekah or Andrew if you have any other questions! We can't wait to celebrate together!!
