Matron of Honor
Diana is the big sister that only-child Nina never had. As kids, they promised to be each other's maids of honor, and now it's Diana's turn. Their friendship has included sleepovers, butterfly clips, and cruising Lemoore in Diana's Camero. Nina is honored to be an auntie to Diana's daughter, Jasmine. Fun Facts: Diana was drum major in middle school and used to be afraid of dogs but now has her own (2-pound) dog, Jax. If Diana worked at summer camp she would be the most hospitable front desk staff.
Best Man
Christian and Kyle met at the Family Vacation Center (FVC) summer camp at UCSB in 2014 where they quickly became great friends. Christian lives in San Diego and serves as the father of the friend group, ensuring that everyone gets together at least once a year. Fun fact(s): You'd never know it, because he's never talked about it, but Christian lived in Spain for a few years teaching English. At the FVC, Christian was a counselor for babies and adults (who were often one-in-the-same).
Maid of Honor
KJ and Nina met freshman year at UCSB. Fate put them across the hall from each other in Santa Cruz dorm and they have been by each other's side ever since. They have matching tattoos and have seen their favorite DJs, Above & Beyond, close to 15 times together. KJ loves yoga, sports, and anything on Bravo! Fun fact(s): KJ once won a beer chugging contest in Rome! Call her Wendy Peffercorn because KJ was a lifeguard at summer camp (she even saved a baby)!
Groomsman
Eric and Kyle met at the age of five and the two attended school together from kindergarten through graduating from UCSB in 2016. Eric is currently a high school biology teacher and enjoys a good electric guitar jam session. Fun Fact(s): Eric can can probably identify just about any bird you may see at Camp Skinner. As a theater camp counselor, they led a group of second graders through the High School Musical 2 catalogue.
Bridesmaid
Daphne and Nina have known each other since elementary school. She has recently moved back closer to Nina in Oakland after over ten years of service in the Air Force. Daphne is a walking encyclopedia of pickup lines and toasts. Comedy is her superpower. Fun Fact(s): Daphne hit a grand slam as the only girl on her baseball team. At summer camp, Daphne was a professional driver of the bye-bye buggy, chauffering around the babies.
Groomsman
David moved to Kyle's hometown of Hollister during their eighth grade year, and they quickly became brothers. The two would go on to wreak havoc in their hometown, setting off dry ice bombs whenever they were able to convince an adult to buy some ice for them. Fun Fact(s): If David was a counselor, he would most likely lead the group in field games, but may be a little late to his shifts. David is actually the dog in that photo.
Bridesmaid
Stephanie and Nina met freshman year at UCSB. She's a proud dog mom, plant lady, and homeowner! Some of her favorite pastimes are hiking, fine dining, and the occasional cigar. Stephanie is Nina's long-term PIC, always ready for any adventure. Find her tearing up the dance floor. Fun fact(s): If Stephanie had a blog it would be named "The Anxious Chef." At summer camp Stephanie cared for the babies, mesmerizing them with the Bumblebee song.
Groomsman
Sahil and Kyle met freshman year at UCSB as floormates in the FT Dorms (If you know, you know). The two would party together throughout college before living together again their senior year on Del Playa Drive. Fun fact(s): While he's excited to meet everyone at Camp Skinner, Sahil's most excited to be reunited with Nina's Dad, Mike. If Sahil was a camp counselor, he'd be the camp DJ taking no requests.
Bridesmaid
Monique and Nina met freshman year at UCSB and were neighbors in Santa Cruz dorm. She is the life of the party, always quick to bring out her hilarious one-liners (Mo-isms). Mo's impeccable taste has led her to love all things extra and bougie. She is an incredible boy mom to her littles! Fun Fact(s): Monique is a BIG fan of Freebirds. If she had a band it would be named "Stranger in the Back Seat." Monique was Nina's supervisor at the summer camp, and Nina hasn't had a better boss since.
Groomsman
Sebastian and Kyle met as roommates at UCSB their freshman year, and would go on to live together from grody apartment to grody apartment throughout their college tenure. Sebastian now lives in Charlotte, NC, forever missing West Coast sporting events due to the time difference. Fun fact(s): Sebastian recently purchased a motorcycle that he's parking illegally in his apartment garage. If he was a camp counselor, he would lead the group bike rides, illegally parking bicycles wherever he so chooses.
Bridesmaid
Nina and Joan met freshman year at UCSB. Aside from pursuing the same career path in School Psychology, Joan and Nina also share a love of concerts and have attended many together over the years (ask her about getting into VIP at Ruby Skye). More recently, Joan has been enjoying her new role as a mother to her adorable son Beau. Fun fact(s): After college Joan worked abroad in Thailand and Australia. Joan knows nearly every word to every Gorillaz song. If Joan were to work at the summer camp, she would choreograph the camp show's dance numbers.
Groomsman
Chris and Kyle met at the FVC and quickly bonded over their love of Disney. They went on to work together in the world of Major League Baseball (Chris actually got Kyle his first job out of college), and the two currently host a Disney-centric podcast together. Fun fact(s): While he's not dawning the outfit at Camp Skinner, Chris knows how to pull off a full-bodied cat suit. Ask him to show you pics. At the FVC, Chris was an adult counselor, leading many adult programs and even moonlighting on the tennis courts with Kyle.
Bridesmaid
Brynn and Nina met in grad school and have been friends ever since. Brynn loves sports (especially soccer), beer, anything in the fantasy/sci-fi genre, spooky szn, and sweater weather. She is a dog mom to the best girl Juneau. Fun Fact(s): Nicknames include Bar Crawl Brynn and Buckaroo Brynn, and one time she and Nina almost didn't make it down the Truckee River (ask her about it). If Brynn worked at the summer camp she would be leading campers on a variety of adventures from hiking to pub trivia.
Groomswoman
Chelsea and Kyle met at the FVC where Kyle served as her tennis assistant. Chelsea became an island girl, living in Hawaii for a number of years, but has found her self back in Santa Barbara working at the UCSB Athletic Department. Fun fact(s): While she has always found herself as the bridesmaid, never the bride, she's rebranding herself as a certified groomswoman. At the FVC, Chelsea was the Tennis Pro and occasional babysitter (if parents felt so bold).
Officiant
Nick met both Nina and Kyle at the Family Vacation Center. Kyle and Nick became roomates in Oakland in 2016, with Nina serving as the honorary third housemate. Nick teaches high school English, loves traveling, and is a great storyteller! Fun fact(s): Nick's beer chugging ability might give KJ a run for her money, and he will immediately request a song by RuPaul at the reception. At the FVC, Nick was a Kids Group counselor, and an even bigger kid himself.
