Nicole and Carlos met in college at Eastern Michigan University in the year 2016, after being introduced to each other by a mutual friend. Both say that on their very first night meeting, they knew they never wanted be away from one another. From there, they found themselves involved in a lot of the same extracurricular activities, such as new student orientation, and they started spending more and more time together. Throughout their college experience, they continued to grow closer and fonder of each other. They mentioned their feelings for each other to their close friends but were ultimately worried about "ruining" the friendship they had built by embarking on a relationship. After multiple years of ignoring the inevitable, they confessed their true feelings for one another and decided to start dating in December of 2019. From that moment on, a missing piece was found and everything else just clicked into place. That feeling they had on that October day in 2016 was right all along. Since that time, the two have traveled near and far together, across the US and internationally to Spain and the Caribbean. They took on the "responsibility" of a dog, who quickly turned into their "first born daughter" and the biggest blessing of their lives. Truly obsessed, and rightfully so. After their engagement in October of 2024, they purchased a house and with the help of Carlos' family, rebuilt and expanded that house into their dream home in Ypsilanti, Michigan where their story first began 10 years ago. Since 2020, the couple has been to 23 weddings together and eagerly look forward to their own big day finally being here.
