When should I RSVP by?

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Kind of. On Friday evening (Elk Lake welcome party for non-Bend folks), please wear neutral colors/earth tones only. No loud patterns or bright colors. I am hoping that we can all blend in to the beautiful backdrop of Elk Lake, Mount Bachelor, and pine trees. Also, practical footwear for Friday is a must - we will be on wood chips and dirt with pine cones, roots, and other obstacles. Can I bring a date?
Answer
You can bring a date if that has been discussed prior to RSVPing. Please reach out if you'd like to bring someone and it hasn't been made explicitly clear that you have a +1 so we can keep track of headcount.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Yes! We can do our best to accommodate. Please let me know in advance so I can discuss with catering.

Will there be parking for the welcome party and reception dinner?
Answer
There should be plenty of parking at both locations. Both Elk Lake Resort and Worthy Brewing are open to the public, so we won't be the only visitors. Plan accordingly, carpool, or arrive early if you have any concerns!

Will there be transportation to and from Bend and Elk Lake?
Answer
No. Because of the size of this event, we are expecting everyone to provide their own transportation. If you will not have a vehicle or would like to carpool, let us know in advance and we will do our best to group everyone up with a designated driver. Thanks for being safe!

What about weather?
Answer
Mid-July in Central Oregon is pretty reliably hot. Bring comfortable clothing for warm weather. We will update this FAQ with a weather report as the date nears but plan on hot summer weather.

Are there any other events that I should know about during the reception weekend?
Answer
You might have noticed, we are not having a wedding ceremony. We will be eloping in June but still want to celebrate with you all! We are planning plenty of events over the weekend, all are optional and we invite you to explore Bend/Central Oregon during your visit.

Are you registered?
Answer
Since we already own a house and live together, there aren't many *things* we need. However, if you'd like to contribute to our honeymoon, house project, or adventure funds, we won't stop you!
