FAQ / Packing List

GOT A QUESTION, CAMPER? WE HAVE ANSWERS!
Question

What should I pack?

Answer

Pretend you're going to a real summer camp... because you are. If you have trouble with anything, please let us know and us and a camp counselor will help you. CLOTHES: Active Clothes for Hiking/Games, Casual Clothes for Lounging/Bonding, Wedding Outfit (see Attire below), Cozy Clothes for Campfires, Bathing Suit, Warm Jacket/Coat, Warm Hat, Sun Hat, Athletic or Hiking Shoes, Flip Flops, Onesie PJs (if you got em) SLEEPING: Sleeping bag or Blanket (or rent from REI through us) Pillow Towel/Washcloth for pool and shower. PERSONAL ITEMS: Water Bottle Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner Sunscreen Flashlight or Headlamp Musical Instruments if you wanna show off at the Talent Show

Question

What's the attire vibe?

Answer

Friday's Welcome Dinner is casual and festive -- dress however you like! Attire for the wedding is Woodsy Semi-Formal. (Did we make that up? Yes.) For men, think a summer suit or a button-down and slacks. Jackets and ties not necessary, but absolutely welcome. For women, dresses / jumpsuits. Flowy, flowery, fun prints -- whatever woodsy vibe strikes you. Both events are outside and the camp is not paved. Flats, wedges or low block heels are recommended. It gets chilly at night, so don’t forget layers! And remember: You can always grab your sneakers from your bunk and do a costume change later in the night!

Question

Where will we be sleeping?

Answer

Cabins! Camp Melissa + Jeremy has over a dozen cabins of various sizes with twin bunk beds. We'll keep families and friends together but you might make a new best friend with your bunkmate.

Question

Do we have to sleep there?

Answer

We'd really love if you could experience the weekend together. The nearest towns are at least a 30 minute drive away. If you'd prefer to say somewhere else, we have all the info on the Accommodations page!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We are planning this as an adult summer camp, so we are asking that no children under 3 attend. If this is prohibitive for you, please let us know so we can try to work something out! To help decide whether to bring your little cubs along, keep in mind we won't have a babysitter there and everyone needs to be able to sleep in their own bunk bed. You may also be sharing bunks with other families.

Question

What about food?

Answer

We'll have your meals and drinks covered but expect mountain food rather than Michelin stars. We'll have vegetarian options and snacks throughout the weekend. If there's a special bottle, jar, or tin of something you like, bring that too! Please let us know if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions.

Question

What about Covid!?

Answer

To keep everyone safe and happy campers, we're asking that all our loved ones in attendance be fully vaccinated. Don't plan on getting the vaccine? We love you, but don't plan on coming.
