Question

How do I get to North Woods YMCA Camp?

Answer

Google Maps will lead the way if you enter "North Woods YMCA Camp." The address is 1 Northwoods Rd, Mirror Lake NH. You will turn into the drive with the large green sign (a photo of this is on the Photos page) and follow a long dirt road to the administrative building on the left. Check-in will be held at this building Friday AND Saturday.

Question

What is North Woods Camp? What can I expect from a "camp" wedding?

Answer

North Woods Camp is a YMCA boys summer camp located on Lake Winnipesaukee. There is a sister camp - Pleasant Valley - on the same property. We will have exclusive access to all facilities at both camps from Friday through Sunday. The camps sit on over 200 acres of wooded property in New Hampshire's stunning Lakes Region. You can expect from our camp wedding: a lot of drinking, bonfires, s'mores, water activities, archery, likely a game of Ultimate or kickball or capture the flag, a lot of eating, and an all around good time. It's summer camp for adults! We hope that our guests choose to stay overnight at camp with us Friday and Saturday to maximize our fun together. Most of the lodging options are "rustic style." These are cabins with twin beds, no electricity or running water (but plenty of bathhouses around!). There is enough space for everyone to have their own cabin, but you're welcome to bunk up with a friend if you'd like. More details on staying overnight are included below.

Question

How do I let you know we want to stay at camp? And how do we pay?

Answer

We have included the opportunity to digitally RSVP on our wedding website. We will contact you individually for payment. All cabin reservations should be made directly with us - no need to call the camp.

Question

Do I have to pay to stay at camp? If so, how much?

Answer

Yes; rustic accommodation for the full weekend is $75 per person. Non-rustic accommodation is $115 per person (these rooms are very limited). Rustic accommodation for Friday OR Saturday ONLY is $50 per person. Non-rustic accommodation for Friday OR Saturday ONLY is $90 per person. (Non-rustic accommodation is very limited; our family will be given first priority to these cabins and whatever remains will be designated on a first come, first served basis)

Question

I'm staying at camp - what do I need to bring to a camp wedding in the middle of September?

Answer

Excellent question! We recommend: - Clothes for warm weather (bathing suits just in case!!) - Clothes for cold weather (sweatshirt, tennis shoes, warm socks) - Wedding attire (ceremony will be outdoors; reception will be indoors) - Water bottle - Shower shoes & other shower necessities - Sleeping bag, pillow, towel if you are driving (we will provide these amenities if you are flying)

Question

I'm not staying at camp, can I still come to the events throughout the weekend?

Answer

Yes! We hope that all of our guests will join us for all of the weekend's festivities.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We do not plan to book transportation from camp to other hotels, however we may take this into consideration if a large number of people are staying off site.

Question

Why isn't there any option to select my dinner for the reception?

Answer

We'll be offering a catered buffet from Smokeshow BBQ, which will include smoked turkey, pulled pork and 'goodness' (an amazing mix of pulled pork and brisket), as well as appetizers and sides. Please let us know if you have any food allergies or special dietary needs.

Question

I'm feeling nervous about COVID-19; what protocols do you plan to follow?

Answer

We will abide by all New Hampshire regulations as it relates to COVID-19. Our wedding will be on the smaller side (less than 100 folks; you should feel special!) and a majority of the events will take place outside. Additionally, the reception space is very well ventilated (it's essentially an open air pavilion with screens). All guests are (most likely) able to stay in their own cabins.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We strongly prefer that our wedding weekend remains kid-free, but if this is a major issue please touch base with us!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

August 8, 2021 please!

For all the days along the way
