Wedding Ceremony

3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Attire is rustic cocktail or semi-formal. Please no jeans. Dressy comfortable footwear encouraged.

William & Christine do not adhere to strong religious traditions. For our ceremony we will be drawing inspiration from the quaker tradition in which the entire community participates in the joining of a couple. Officiant Nathan Tonning will introduce the ceremony after which will begin of a period of silent reflection. When W & C are moved to do so they will exchange promises to one another. After vows are exchanged participants will return to a period of silent meditation. At this time anyone who is moved to do so is invited to share messages to the Bride and Groom, leaving space for reflection in between messages. (Brief, heartfelt words are often best. You may find you are called to speak of the joys, challenges, and richness of married life.) When they feel the time is right W&C will rise and kiss each other signaling the end of the ceremony. Everyone present is requested to sign the marriage certificate as witnesses and participants in the joining of W&C.

After Party

6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Come have a cocktail, beer or wine with us at Historic Florence Cocktails & Coffee. We will be there around 6pm hanging, come before or after dinner or whenever. Located right in the heart of downtown!
