Question

Do I need to be vaccinated to attend?

Answer

Given the health of our parents and the current vaccine mandate across the City of New Orleans, we are asking all of our guests to be vaccinated.

Question

Do I need to bring proof of vaccination?

Answer

Yes, but it doesn't have to be your physical card. You can take a clear picture of your card on your phone, or feel free to use one of the apps that have been developed by other states. Both of us downloaded the NYC COVID SAFE app, and used that throughout New Orleans this fall. Important to note, you will be asked for proof all around the city.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Only if your invitation included "& Guest" or was made out to you as a couple. You will not be able to RSVP in the system for anyone not listed on your invitation.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will be for adults only. Let's discuss if this is a concern.

Question

What's the dress attire for the wedding weekend?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception are "Formal, but make it funky". This means tuxes are welcome, but so are dark suits with collared shirts. Tie or no tie, we don't care, but wear a jacket fam. Formal gowns are also welcome, but so are cocktail dresses. In between the two events, there will be a second line parade. We recommend whatever shoes you wear are reasonably comfortable! Regarding the funk, it's New Orleans. Feel free to be bold and festive.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Right here on the site -- go to the RSVP tab. You should be able to type your first and last name to find your RSVP form, and RSVP for your spouse or guest. If you have issues, please reach out to us!

Question

I have a food allergy, will it be accommodated?

Answer

Yes, we want to make sure everyone enjoys our dinner party! If you have a food allergy or religious restriction, we will ensure there is a substitution provided for you. Closer to the actual date, we will send an invitation that includes the opportunity to share dietary restrictions for allergies or religious restrictions.

Question

What is a second line?

Answer

The second line is basically a parade. It is a quintessential part of New Orleans culture, and originated as a celebration of life for funerals. It is now a popular tradition for many special occasions, including weddings. Usually, the second line brings the wedding guests and bridal party from the ceremony to the reception, or next location. The newlyweds lead the procession, umbrellas in hand, while the wedding party and guests follow the band with handkerchiefs. Bring your dancing shoes as we parade in the streets!

Question

How do I get between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

Immediately following the ceremony, we will have a second line wedding parade in the Quarter. It will end at Lafitte's. You're welcome to grab a drink in there, but you might as well head to the reception venue -- open bar starts at 6. We recommend Uber or Lyft, and have provided a $10 credit on Lyft; enter CAMPHIERSWED in the Lyft pass section of the app. You must call your Lyft between 5:30-6:15 pm and have the destination from Calcasieu to use.
