Camp Forever Crush is what we're calling this wedding weekend. As we vow to love and look after one another forever, we become each others foreva-eva crush. We wanted our wedding to be in nature and surrounded by loved ones, so basically the definition of camp. We'll make camp official with camp-fires and s'mores, outdoor activities like kayaking and hiking, and hit the hay in cabins among the trees and along the water.
A gathering of everyone we love happens so rarely that we want to see as much of you as we can! So we've rented out every cabin at Westmoreland State Park. All the events of the weekend take place at the park, so it'll make everything easy to get to. And best of all, we get to spend time with one another. Here's how it works: after you RSVP we'll assign you to a cabin with your family, or friends. $100 per bedroom covers the cost of your bedroom in the cabin for two nights (Friday and Saturday). Payment options: PayPal (paypal.me/LaurieMcGoogan) Venmo (@Laurie-McGoogan) (let me know via email if you can’t find me) Personal check (mail to 760 Quiet Harbor Dr, Hague VA 22469).
The cabins are so nice, y'all! Each one has beds with fresh linens, electricity, heat and A/C, their own shower and bathroom, a living area and a kitchen with microwave and small refrigerator. #glamping http://www.dcr.virginia.gov/state-parks/westmoreland#cabins_camping
If your invitation says "and guest," then yes! We've carefully calculated the accommodations to figure out the best number of guests as cabin space is limited and hotels in the area are nearly non-existent. If you're coming solo, you'll still be surrounded by family and friends.
For the wedding ceremony and reception: Formal / Dressy. For everything else: get comfortable! Bring clothes and shoes that you can be outdoorsy in. We'll be at camp all weekend, hiking, bonfire-ing, maybe even kayaking. Pack layers and your favorite comfy stuff. Be sure to check the weather for Montross ahead of time! We can anticipate warm days and cool nights.
Because we are kind of crazy, and think it's cute.
We've got you covered - Tell them you are with the Phillips wedding party.
