There are so many great, local restaurants but here are some of our favorites! Dozens - Matt's favorite breakfast place. Odie B's - A delicious, 90s themed, fast-casual spot that has options for all. City O' City - Kristen's favorite vegetarian restaurant. Nana's Dim Sum - Dumplings and noodles that WOW (see picture above). Bao Brewhouse - Where we celebrated our engagement! Lo Stella - Our favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant. Lo Stella has only two locations: Denver, Colorado and Genoa, Italy.
Comedy Works, named as one of the top five comedy clubs in the country, has been Denver's premier destination for the very best in stand-up comedy since 1981. As one of the nation's true comedy landmarks, they routinely attract the country's top comedians. Check back closer to July to see the schedule and score some tickets!
At the center for performing arts, you can see a ballet, musical, opera, or play. We have season tickets to DCPA and have enjoyed *almost* every show we've seen. (Bonus points if you can guess which one musical we hated.) We recommend checking out a performance, if you have time!
Whether you hike the Trading Post Trail, take a picture from the top of the amphitheater, or see a concert, you should visit Red Rocks. Red Rocks is about a 20 minute drive from Denver but Uber and Lyft transport people there all the time. Check the website in early 2025 to see the summer's schedule. Note that the amphitheater closes around 1:00 pm on days when there's a concert.
