Some common questions we have received can be found below. Please reach out if you have any others!
Question

Can I bring my pet?

Answer

Mendocino Woodlands Camp is a state property that does not allow dogs. If you have a service animal, please provide the appropriate records for your animal directly to us to pass on to our host two weeks prior to the wedding weekend.

Question

How Do I Check-In to Camp?

Answer

Camp check-in begins at 2:00 pm on Friday. When you arrive at Mendocino Woodlands Camp, you will drive through Camps 1 and 3 before arriving at the end of the road and crossing a little bridge to Camp Devine. (Held in Camp 2) Drive all the way into camp and pull forward on the gravel to unload your car and check the "Bunkie Board" for your cabin assignment. Counselors will be there until 4:00 pm to welcome and lead you through parking your car for the weekend once your done unloading. If you happen to arrive later in the evening on Friday, please find a camp counselor to assist you with parking after you unload.

Question

What are the COVID requirements?

Answer

Safety is a top concern for all of our loved guests. We ask that guests age 16+ please arrive with either your proof of vaccination or negative test results from the previous 72 hours. With these measures in place, masks will NOT be mandatory. However, please plan to work in a mask for your attire should a mandate arrive in the state again days before the wedding weekend. Most events at Camp Devine will be held outdoors, with cabins well spaced from each other. We have done our best to provide bunk mates within shared cabins as same-households or already close friend groups.

Question

Do I need a tent?

Answer

All guests will be provided a cot in a 2-4 person shared screened cabin. Please use your RSVP accordingly if you prefer to stay off-site, and see our packing list to plan for this camping weekend.

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

[ ] Proof of Vaccination or negative test result [ ] Sleeping bag or Sheets/blankets [ ] Pillow [ ] Headlamps and flashlights (and extra batteries) [ ] Electric Lantern (please no flame in the cabins) [ ] Camp chairs [ ] Shower shoes/flip flops [ ] Towels/washcloth/soap [ ] Personal Items (toothbrush, deodorant, medicine, etc.) [ ] Canteen/water bottle [ ] Sunscreen/chapstick/sunglasses [ ] Bug Spray [ ] First aid kit [ ] Musical instruments/song books [ ] Cooler with ice, personal drinks & snacks (this MUST be kept inside of your cabin at all times) [ ] Footwear options - the ceremony will be in mulch, & dancing will be in gravel [ ] Clothes for hot days and cool nights - hiking is an option from camp [ ] Something "Forest Chic" for wedding day [ ] Swimsuit to sit & play in the creek [ ] Face Mask

Question

Is there power and water?

Answer

There is no power or running water in the cabins. The hot water shower/bathroom building is near the dining hall and contains shared and private showers. The cabins are clustered in four groups with a cold water toilet facility in each group. Find out more about our camp at mendocinowoodlands.org. We will be in Camp 2. (Please do not arrive with your RV or trailer.)

Question

Can I Stay in Town?

Answer

Camp Devine is a 30-minute drive into the woods from the beautiful town of Mendocino. The town is known for eclectic stays and adorable BnBs. Please be advised that much of the road is unpaved, and Camp Devine is on the farthest end of Mendocino Woodlands Camp, so it takes longer than you might assume while looking at a map.

Question

We Encourage Car-Pooling!

Answer

What's a better way to arrive at camp than singing songs with friends on the way?!? Parking will be delicately managed on Saturday. We encourage guests staying on-site to make it easier for counselors by carpooling if possible, and those staying off-site to use a ride-share or taxi service to come and go as they please if available.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We love the idea that "more is merrier" but there is a strict limit for how many persons can be on site. Please RSVP for named invitees only. We would love to party it up with additional loved ones and friends at a separate time.
