Plenty! Beyond the wedding itself, there's hiking, yoga, an onsen, fishing, and lots of room to relax in and around the river. We're also going to have plenty of yard games! Come ready to get outside.
Beyul sits at elevation (8,300' above sea level!), and altitude can sneak up on you. Drink more water than feels necessary, take it easy your first day, and consider electrolyte powder or altitude meds if you're sensitive. If you're flying in from sea level, give yourself a little grace.
Think "mountain weekend." Days are warm and nights get cool, so layers are your friend. We'd suggest: Comfortable clothes for warm days and something warmer for chilly evenings (yes, a real jacket in August is a good idea!) A headlamp or flashlight for getting around after dark A reusable water bottle (staying hydrated at altitude matters!) Electrolyte powder, and altitude medication if that's something you use Anything you'd want for hiking, yoga, the onsen (sauna, hot tub, cold plunge), fishing, or hanging by the river
On a boot? Yes! In the more traditional sense, definitely not! A lot of the activities (ceremony, cocktail party, dinner) are outside and require walking unpaved paths to get from one to another.
No, there's no cell phone service at Beyul. (Embrace it! It's part of why we picked the venue). That said, we know there is a need to stay connected in this modern era. Alas, there is WiFi in the lodge if you need to check in with the outside world: Network: HiddenLands Password: getoutside
1. The registration website is a little wonky. A LOT of you texted us about it. Make sure if you're planning to attend on Thursday that you added it on to the "wedding package" as it wasn't very straightforward 2. There is a waiver that all guests will need to sign. I believe you can do it upon check-in BUT for all you over-achievers out there, here's the link: https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/e/5c6B8iaGwuKzQPJEhBAu2e/web/
