Why Fountain Point?

Answer

The Bakker-Arkema family has been coming to Fountain Point every summer for the past 30 years (before Lilly was even born). Five years ago Lilly brought Austin to Fountain Point after dating for 2 weeks (she told her family it had been longer) to meet the entire extended family. Austin held his own and stuck around. It's a place they love coming every year and thought you all would love it too!!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Last year on September 24 in Lake Leelanau Michigan the high was 73 degrees and the low was 51 degrees. That sounds like it was a lovely day, but weather can really be all over the place!!!! Check the weather beforehand and pack extra layers for cozy evenings by the camp fire and warmer clothes to lounge by the beach front.

What is something I might not think to pack?

Answer

-Please pack a beach towel in your suit case! There will be morning yoga if you chose to partake and the towel will be your mat! Also Fountain Point has paddle boards, canoes, and kayaks for you to enjoy at your leisure. Fingers crossed it's warm enough for a dip! -Comfortable walking shoes for lots of outdoor activities in the surrounding areas. -Lots of layers since weather can be all over the map.

What shoes should I wear?

Answer

All events will take place on grassy and maybe at times uneven surfaces. Please wear something that is comfortable! We would suggest staying clear of very pointy heels!

Am I Invited to the rehearsal dinner?

Answer

All guests are invited to join us for the rehearsal dinner and all events listed on the schedule tab on our website! We can't wait to celebrate with all of you!

What about COVID?

All events will be outdoors, but we also recommend that all guests are vaccinated and boosted!
