Ben and Carolyn first met in 2018. They reconnected at Carolyn's roomates' wedding in June, 2022. They hit it off immediately and spent the whole weekend in Tahoe together celebrating their friends and having a blast. After that weekend, they were inseparable. They made their relationship official July 28, 2022. They went on adventures, traveled, and she accompanied him on many golf trips. She moved in with him in May of 2023 and they made a home together in Pittsburg, California. They got engaged on June 1st where they first told each other that they were in love, at the beach in Pacific Grove. They would love for you to join them in celebration of their next chapter at Faith Lutheran Church in Pleasant Hill during their favorite season of the year.

Ben and Carolyn decided to take a trip and stay at a nice hotel in Monterey. Ben took Carolyn to the most beautiful golf course she had ever been to in Pacific Grove. They both have always loved this area of the coast. There were deer and lots of cool birds. Afterward, they went to the beach at sunset. They both started looking for cool rocks and shells as they always do. Ben said, "I'm going to find you the best one, like a penguin." He found it and handed it to Carolyn. She said, "Does this mean we are partners for life?" Ben shrugged and said, "Maybe." Nervously Carolyn replied, "I love you." Ben said, "I love you too." That day this beach became their favorite. When Ben was certain that she was the one, he bought a ring. He kept that ring for many months just waiting for the perfect weather to plan a trip to surprise her with the most important question. She said, "Yes, of course."
