Officiant
Even before they decided to get married, Hannah had always made it known that she wanted Keegan to marry her and Derek. Hannah, Derek, and Keegan all went to high school together back in Manassas Park. Derek and Keegan were friends and remained close after high school despite going to different colleges. Now, 10 years later, Keegan has become family to both Derek and Hannah, as well as an amazing uncle to Cassius. It means so much to the couple to have one of their best friends play such a big part in their wedding day!
Best Man
Making Colton the best man for his brother’s wedding was an obvious choice. However, not every bride is as lucky as Hannah in having such a great relationship with her future brother in law. Hannah had met Colton when he was 8 years old and has considered him her little brother ever since. Derek and Colton have such a special relationship and having him stand next to his big brother on his wedding day is a blessing.
Groomsman
Derek and Damian have known each other since childhood when they met in 1st grade and played on the same football team. Damian moved in the 2nd grade, however, no matter the distance, nothing broke their bond as best friends. Derek has loved watching Damian grow into the man, husband, and father that he is today. It so special to be able to look back and see all they’ve been through and know that Derek’s childhood best friend will be standing by his side when he marries Hannah.
Groomsman
Ryan is Derek’s “brother from another mother”. They met in the 5th grade and from having classes together to football games to hangouts in the Kolb's basement, they've been inseparable ever since. Those lasting memories have created a bond that has sealed their friendship for a lifetime. Derek was recently Ryan’s best man in his wedding so having him stand up to support him for his big day is equally as special.
Maid of Honor
Hannah C met Hannah M sophomore year of high school when Hannah C moved to Virginia. Throughout high school and playing softball together, they became The Hannah’s. Now 13 years later, they still laugh at the weird face the Starbucks barista makes when she asks for a name and they both reply “Hannah”. The Hannah’s have gone through every major life event together: graduating high school, graduating college, the start of their careers, the birth of Hannah M’s two children and now, Hannah C’s wedding! No matter the distance or time, the Hannah’s will forever be not only best friends, but family.
Bridesmaid
The special thing about Anjali is that she is Hannah and Derek’s best friend and the funniest person they know. She truly is a bridesmaid and grooms girl, but Hannah called dibs for Anjali to stand with her! The amount of coffee dates, late night hang outs and endless laughs Hannah and Derek have shared with Anjali are priceless. She’s the person that instantly makes a room light up and laugh, and she does it effortlessly. There are certain types of people you know are your forever friends, and Anjali is that person without a doubt.
Bridesmaid
Derek has the honor of calling Chanelle his longest friend in Manassas Park. They met in 2nd grade and they’ve been best friends ever since. Not a lot of people can say that their best friends have become their future spouse’s best friends, but Hannah and Derek can. Chanelle has been a constant source of love and support in Hannah and Derek’s lives. Her unwavering loyalty, honesty and genuine kindness make her not only a friend, but family. She brings out the best in everyone around her and Hannah and Derek cherish the countless memories they’ve all created together.
The Best Dog
No other title could describes Cassius better. Derek and Hannah had wanted a dog for years but it was never “the right time”. It wasn’t until Hannah got scammed on Facebook for a Rottweiler puppy, and Derek saw her devastation that told him that the right time had come. Two months and a lot of Amazon packages later, they drove to West Virginia to pick up the biggest puppy of the litter. Cassius or “Cash” has become such an important member of their little family. He is 100lbs of love, silliness and slobber. He is truly a Mama’s boy, spoiled rotten by his dad, and loved by all. Hannah and Derek couldn’t imagine having any other dog with them on their special day.
