We’re Married!

We had a beautiful wedding, and we want to thank all of you that came to enjoy our beautiful day with us. Thank you to those who reached out to congratulate us who couldn’t attend as well. We’re on our way to Punta Cana for our Honeymoon!

Dustin and Damiana met at work on October 30, 2017. They started off as coworkers and quickly became friends. They remained friends for the next year and a half, until February 11, 2019, Damiana took a chance and sent Dustin a message. They began talking for hours and hours until she asked him out on their first date on February 20, 2019. There was no doubt that there was a strong connection there. He met her kids and family shortly after. Dustin decided to take his chance and asked Damiana to be his girlfriend on April 6, 2019. Damiana of course said yes immediately and they embarked on many journeys together from there on! From moving in together (Damiana moving out the city and down to the country), to a house fire a month later (which caused them to live in a hotel for 3 months), to many holidays together, to the annual Tennessee trips, the motorcycle rides, the comedy shows, rescuing their first dog together, to the wineries, and to other cities. They also love to make homemade things such as growing their own garden to make homemade pickles, ketchup, to even homemade wine! Coming from a very small family, and having no children, Dustin grew very close to Damiana's huge family and her 4 daughters and 1 grandson! The girls took to Dustin very quickly and have made so many memories together, which include visiting farms, apple picking, doing homework together, tending to the garden, and having fun at family parties. They cannot wait to make many more memories together!

During one of their annual Tennessee trips (they take a trip every year for their anniversary), they decided to bring the kids with. (3 of the 4 were able to go. The 4th was going on a separate trip at that same time). They drove down to Tennessee on a Sunday and got there late that night. The next morning, they decided they were going to make it a relaxing day of grabbing lunch and sight seeing in the mountains. As soon as they sat down at the restaurant in Pigeon Forge, Damiana went to go slap Dustin's leg and he immediately got up and said that he would be right back. After some fun, laughs, and some good food, they decided to hop in the car and head to Gatlinburg, TN to sight see at Clingman's Dome. Unbeknownst to them, when they got there, there was a sign that it was closed until April 1st! (Kind of like the Griswold's going to Wally World) HAHA! Dustin said, "Let's drive a little further and find another place to stop." They ended up driving over the border into North Carolina and stopped at a place in Bryson City. They were taking pictures of the kids doing funny poses and Dustin said, "Let's move a little bit down where there is less people." Wondering why Dustin would say that, Damiana just went with it. They were doing funny poses like the kids were and as Damiana was making her funny pose, Dustin pulled out the ring he picked out, and said “Here I’ll do one”, got down on one knee, and the rest is history! (If you were still wondering why he got up so quickly at the restaurant, it was because he had the ring in his cargo shorts and as she was going to slap his leg, she almost hit the ring box that was in his pocket!)
