It all started in the place where love goes to die, the carbon county court house. Josh, a deputy sheriff and Jess, a deputy clerk met at work which is no surprise. For Josh it was on a day in May upon his return from the academy. He saw from what he says “was the hottest chick he has ever seen” crossing the street. Being the smart man that he is, Josh called dibs on Jess and knew from that moment on that she would one day be his. For Jess, it was on a boring morning in DUI court when a handsome deputy walked in with a prisoner. She perked up, zoned out staring at him and completely missed the entire sentence the judge handed out. As Fate would have it, Amy, the maid of honor, Jess’s coworker and resident match maker would be craving a smoothie one day while walking back from court as Josh was conveniently walking into work late. Amy asked him why he didn’t bring smoothies for her and Jess to which he replied you didn’t ask. Later on that week he gave Amy his number for future smoothie cravings with the hope his number would make its way to Jess. She never gave that number to Jess but smartly texted Jess’s number to Josh telling him he should save it and indeed he did. Josh texted Jess the next day and they have been inseparable ever since. Thank God for smoothies!!!
