Friends since the 7th grade and a few brief exchanges through mutual friends, during the years when Cammie played softball, and Ray - baseball, is sort of how it all started. Although their lives took different paths for many years, somehow they managed to run into each other from time to time. Fast forward to the fall of 2011 and through the wonders of Social Media - Cammie found herself with a pending friend request from Ray on Facebook. Over the next 3 months, frequent exchanges on FB eventually led to Ray asking Cammie out to dinner. Through the constant urging and encouragement from Cammie's sisters - Cammie agreed to a date w/Ray. Never did they imagine on that 1st dinner date (at Chilis) in January of 2012 would be 4 hours of great conversation, laughter, and a connection that was too difficult to ignore. The following day, Ray surprised Cammie with an early morning visit at her families garage sale, and became their best customer that day ! Through the highs and lows, and all the in-betweens that come with being a couple, here they are, 8 years later with a lifetime to go -happy, committed, and ready to say I do.

Ray living out his life long dream of racing boats became the backdrop of how he would ask Cammie to be his bride. Not long into Ray's boat racing journey, he made arrangements to surprise Cammie with an unforgettable proposal which has now become youtube famous... Getting down on one knee, Ray asked Cammie to marry him - through the tears, cheers, applause, and the 'oh my God's" - we saw Cammie nod yes and the rest is history!!!
