Within walking distance from the Lodge, this well designed museum showcases a beautiful recap of the Columbia Gorge's inhabitants & natural history through photos, replicas & displays. Definitely worth a visit for any history buffs!
Brian is a US National windsurfing champion and has taught clients over the world for the past 30 years. He offers beginner to advanced windsurfing and kiteboarding lessons, alongside some fun kayak and stand up-paddle board rentals. On a typical summer day you will see dozens of windsurfers out on the Gorge waters!
Hood river is a small town located just under 25 minutes east of Skamania Lodge, and is the hub for all the best local dining, breweries, shopping, and artwork. Certainly worth a visit for a delicious coffee or lunch out!
Easily the Columbia River Gorge's most famous waterfall. Once you stand before this towering 620ft two-tiered column of water, you'll come to see why it's so popular. There are multiple hikes to do around the falls as well as a great restaurant (make sure to book a reservation for the restaurant).
