Jeremi and Camisha met on an old networking app called “Clubhouse” at the end of 2020. After meeting, they exchanged contact information and kept in contact while getting to know each other over the course of several months. They were both in different states at the time—Jeremi in Virginia and Camisha in Florida—and neither one of them thought they could take the other seriously given the distance between them, despite their interest in each other. While living two separate lives in two separate states, they kept a close friendship and would communicate via FaceTime to check on each other, here and there, over the course of another three years. On October 1st, 2023, Jeremi took a leap of faith and visited Camisha in Florida for the very first time! The two were finally closing the gap between them and seeing if their interest over the past three years could lead to something more. All of Jeremi’s thoughts about Camisha were confirmed when they met for the first time, and eight months later, he asked her to be his girlfriend. They maintained a long-distance relationship, traveling back and forth to see each other—and of course, going on vacations—for eleven months before Jeremi popped the question! He knew from the first day he met her that he wanted her to be in his life forever. They refused to let distance be the barrier between them, so in the most intimate and unique way, Jeremi proposed to Camisha in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, in May of 2025 while on vacation for Camisha’s 28th birthday. Now here we are—almost six months after their engagement—deciding to come before God and their closest family and friends to join in holy matrimony. Their journey has been anything but ordinary—built on faith, patience, laughter, and countless FaceTime calls that turned into forever promises. What started as a simple friendship across state lines blossomed into a love grounded in faith, understanding, and divine timing. Now, surrounded by the people who they love the most, Jeremi and Camisha are ready to begin their next chapter—not as two individuals separated by distance, but as one united in love and purpose. As they stand before God, their family, and their friends, they celebrate not just their union, but the beautiful reminder that when something is meant to be, no distance, time, or obstacle can stand in the way. Their story—from Clubhouse to forever—is a testament that true love always finds its way home.
