Veronica Shevlin (A.K.A. Mom)

Mother of the Bride

What can I say about the woman who helped raise me? She's been an inspiration in my life; a rock when things became unsteady, an unending fountain of advice and knowledge, and most importantly one of the best role models a girl could ever ask for. I don't know what I would have done without her, but one thing's for sure: I'm very glad that I have her in my life. She is a mother to both my little brother and me as well as a wife to my father, Keith Shevlin. She is currently a special education teacher in Georgia. If that doesn't reveal the true heart of this woman I don't know what would. WARNING: She is just as much of a Harry Potter fan as me, which means you should never allow both of us to be in the same room when Harry Potter is playing.

Myrna Crawford (A.K.A Mom)

Mother of the Groom

I met Mrs. Crawford on Christmas holiday in 2016. One of my first memories of that trip was her giving Will several bags of clothes that she bought for him over the year. I learned that she regularly buys clothes and food not only for her son but for many people, including her family overseas. Her kindness and compassion for those she cares about knows no bounds. I couldn’t be happier to be considered a part of her family. Mrs. Crawford is a mother to William Crawford and a wife to John Crawford. She currently works at the Commissary in her hometown. She chooses to spend her days helping others and working with her hands because she finds it enjoyable. Let’s hope that amazing work ethic is inheritable! WARNING: Bakery Bandit. Hide your bread if you wish to keep it.

Keith Shevlin (A.K.A. Dad)

Father of the Bride

This goober is my father. He taught me what to expect of any man in my life. He's been a wonderful influence on my life. I have been known to call him sporadically throughout the day to tell him anything that's going on. He always makes the time to talk to me about everything, no matter how silly and trivial it is. He always makes sure that I wanted for nothing as a child, not by buying me whatever I wanted but by teaching me that happiness does not require the material. He is a father to both my brother and myself. He is a husband to Veronica Shevlin. He currently works with computers in Georgia. I do not really understand what he does which probably means he's pretty smart. WARNING: DO NOT laugh at his jokes. You'll only encourage him.

John Crawford (A.K.A. Dad)

Father of the Groom

As you can imagine, being Will’s father is no easy feat. It required a man of patience and strength, as well as love and pride. John Crawford was the right man for this job. If you watch closely, you can see the pride in Mr. Crawford’s eyes as he tells stories about his son, and the love expressed in his actions as he opens the car door for his wife. I have experienced first-hand the patience of this man as he was teaching me how to shoot (still working on it). Mr. Crawford is a father to William Crawford and a husband to Myrna Crawford. He is a retired Marine and currently works for customs screening packages and catching bad guys. He is also an avid gun collector and champion marksman. WARNING: The sarcasm is strong in this one.

Jess Netterstrom

Matron of Honor

I actually met Jess on my second date with Will at Farmhaus in Augusta, Georgia. Will told her that he was going out and Jess, being the amazing friend that she is, informed him that she would be crashing his date to make sure she approved. Will warned me on the drive to the restaurant that his friends "might" be joining us. I had no time to prepare and was completely terrified, but I'm pretty sure is exactly how Jess wanted it. Judging from her participation in the wedding, she approved. Our friendship must have been predestined because we immediately clicked. We have gone through many things in our three years; DragonCon, Hailey's birth, moving mishaps, and a SeaWorld visit to name a few. Soon we will be able to add a wedding to the list! WARNING: A mix of class and southern sass!

Teresa Durham

Bridesmaid

Teresa and I met a few weeks after I met Will. One could say our friendship was forged in the fires of Dragon Con. A total of six men and women were crammed into our tiny hotel room. Of those six people, Teresa and I were the only two that did not take turns snoring through the night. We bonded in our combined sleep deprivation, protectiveness over a pregnant Jess, shared college major, and the collective nerdiness that permeates Dragon con. We may not live close to each other, but with ties like ours, there is no doubt that our friendship will last a lifetime. Everyone knows English major's communicate better through written words, rather than face to face. I can think of no one else I’d rather have standing beside me at my wedding. WARNING: Fierce redhead! Approach at your own peril.
