How We Met

The best thing about life is the moment you start sharing it.

Sheldon and I first started messaging each other on the Plenty of Fish (POF) dating site back in November 2016. The conversation was short-lived and we stopped talking for a few months. We reconnected back on the app in March 2017 where we exchanged phone numbers and have talked everyday until our first date. We decided to wait before going on our first date on May 18, 2017 since I was over 3 hours away at school and had just finished my Masters degree. I was nervous because I had never really done online dating before nor did I ever find anyone I actually connected with on the site. We met at the Hollywood Palms movie theater and I immediately found him attractive. At the end of the movie, he told me he had a reservation for us at the Craftsman by Two Brothers where we sat at the chef's grill and were served exclusively by the Head Chef. I was impressed! After leaving the restaurant, we finished our evening at Bowlero and enjoyed a few rounds of fun, competitive bowling. Of course I lost; but, we had an amazing time together. I thought it was too good to be true. He thought I was just along for the ride, enjoying his company. We were both shocked that we found someone we truly enjoyed being around. So, we decided to continue talking everyday and hanging out every weekend. We made things official on August 2, 2017. Sheldon and I were inseparable. We couldn’t get enough of one another. He was so kind and respectful and always created a safe space for me to share my heart and life goals with. We started praying and reading the bible together before bed and eventually started falling in love with each other more each day. Sheldon proposed to me at what I thought was a family game night, on December 24, 2018. He constantly shows me each and every day how much he loves me not only through his words, but through his actions. We look forward to having you share in our special day! "Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” Mark 10:9
