COVID-19

(9.10.21) Dear Friends and Family, It is an exciting time as our wedding approaches and we are looking forward to celebrating with you. Last May when we chose the September ceremony date, COVID was on the decline. However, we realize that as we get closer to the wedding date, the pandemic is once again accelerating across the country. We know this is not the most ideal situation to have a mass gathering including unvaccinated children and some adults, but we are going to proceed with the wedding on the scheduled date, September 25th. We hope everyone will be mindful of the health of others. We ask that out of love for Peter and I, who are trying to focus on the wedding, moving to a new city, starting new jobs, and beginning a future wonderful life together, that all guests assist us and follow the protocols listed below.
Question

Protocols:

Answer

1. Masks will be provided, but you may wear your own. 2. Correctly wear a mask over nose and mouth while inside the barn. 3. After eating, masks will continue to be worn while inside the barn. 4. Masks will not be required outside the barn, but we highly recommended you continue to wear one, especially our unvaccinated guests. 5. DO NOT COME if you are sick, feeling ill, have an elevated temperature, have been exposed to someone sick, or are COVID positive. (fever/chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle/body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea) 6. Please let us know for planning purposes if your RSVP status changes. 7. There will be limited tables downstairs, inside the barn as well as outside, if you choose to eat or hangout with more distance.

Question

Additional Notes:

Answer

Peter and I, our parents and siblings, and the wedding party (bridesmaids and groomsmen) have been vaccinated and will occasionally not have masks on for pictures, etc. That is not an open invitation to remove your mask while inside the barn. On our wedding day, we are going to celebrate our union. We are hoping this message will clearly establish a safer wedding and reception environment that will greatly reduce our personal stress. If you are uncomfortable following these protocols, you are welcome to withdraw your attendance and we only ask that you let us know for planning purposes. If you have any questions about these updates, please feel free to reach out.
