Camille's Version: Noa and I met at the famous 6-Man Volleyball Tournament in Manhattan Beach on August 5, 2022. Mutual friends brought us together while party-hopping that night, and from the start I was immediately drawn to him. Not just physically, but to his presence, his energy, his whole persona. We clicked right away, though at first, we were “just friends.” Back in Utah, where we both went to college, we kept hanging out at late-night open gyms that ran from 9:00 pm to 2:00 am twice a week. I knew I liked him early on (even if I wouldn’t have admitted it then). I looked forward to every Tuesday and Thursday, and with each night, the flirting grew until eventually we were talking every day and seeing each other as much as possible. On November 27, 2022, Noa officially asked me to be his girlfriend with a bouquet of LEGO roses and a poster that said, “Will you build a relationship with me?” From there, our story only grew. We dated throughout the rest of college and spent the summer of 2023 living together at my grandma’s house in Oceanside, California. It was our first real “test” as a couple, and to me, it couldn’t have gone more perfectly. On August 11, 2024, Noa completely surprised me with a proposal at the Kahala Hotel on Oahu, Hawaii. It was everything I could have dreamed of and more. After Noa graduated, we moved to Oahu, where we’re living with his family while we get our feet grounded in this world. And funny enough, when we first met there was a little “love square” going on...my teammate liked him, his teammate liked me...but in the end, everything worked out just the way it was meant to. From the very beginning, the universe has had its plan for us and it’s the truest thing I know: we are meant for each other. Noa's Version: Camille and I met for the first time on August 5, 2022, but the universe had been pulling us closer together for a long time. There are so many little family connections and coincidences between us that it almost feels like fate (don’t worry, you’ll hear all the stories at the wedding if you don’t already know them.) The time after we met was spent playing hours of midnight volleyball, driving between Salt Lake City and Provo, and arguing about our college football teams. The rest of college seemed to fly by after we met. We were both so busy with school, volleyball, and our personal lives, yet we always made time for each other a priority. I thankfully found a second home in Utah with Camille and her Mom, Dad and little brother, Isaac. They welcomed me into their lives and invited me over for countless family dinners, while I was thousands of miles away from my home. Our next big step was our first time living together. I had a summer internship in San Diego, and she found a job working on a nearby golf course. We both made some good money, but I didn’t enjoy what I was doing for work. However, having Camille there made all the difference. She was my 75 Hard workout buddy, my volleyball partner, my co-chef, and my best friend during this time. After that summer, I didn’t need any more convincing. I used my summer paychecks to purchase a ring and finally asked her to marry me on August 11th! Camille had graduated a year before me, so our relationship shifted a little. I was finishing my last year of school and volleyball while she was working full time. But we didn’t let our different schedules get in the way. We prioritized our time together and grew in how to love each other post-college. Now, life is great! We love living together. We’ve found a great group to play volleyball with, we’re staying active in the gym (and in the occasional hot yoga class Camille drags me to), and we’re becoming expert backgammon players (I’m winning so far). Our days are full of sports, work, friends, and plenty of Camille’s awesome sourdough. I’m so excited for July 18th to officially make it forever.
