While you could have the weekend of your life munching your way through BR's restaurants, we suggest stepping out of city limits for a taste of more palpable Louisiana culture. 45 minutes northwest of Baton Rouge is St. Francisville, a Louisiana treasure. Grab lunch at the cozy Magnolia Cafe or a cocktail at the gorgeous St. Francisville Inn. Budget an hour to meander through the oak-drenched cemetery grounds of Grace Church, where time seems not to exist. 1.5 hours southeast is our beloved New Orleans. Splurge on dinner at Mosquito Supper Club (we won't say too much, just GO!), and have a po-boy at Parkway Bakery. And whatever you do, do not miss out on Hansen's snowballs, especially since it will be June!
All cars will remain parked at St. Aloysius Church, which is immediately next door to the Delaune home. Guests may walk with wedding party to the reception, or hop on one of the available trolleys to take you over. The trolleys will run through the night to take you back to your car whenever you are ready. Camille and her brothers grew up walking to St. Aloysius for school, so for us, the promenade feels extra sentimental!
