This winery was one of the first we explored after moving to California. Its location is conveniently, though not coincidentally, close to our venue and Sonoma Plaza. We recommend the Chardonnay!
In the first few months after moving to California, one of John's coworkers and member of this winery, asked us to join him and his wife here for a tasting here. It was the first time we had tasted really good wine and it was eye opening. It still serves as the foundation for our wine palates today. On top of the amazing wine, the estate is beautiful! We recommend the Cabernet Sauvignon! Fun fact: This winery was bought by the famous Francis Ford Coppola in 1975 with proceeds from his movie, The Godfather. We've seen and chatted with him (and his dog!) here.
We’ve been stopping by here since we first moved to California, thanks to a recommendation from the family whose house we’re getting married at! Great beer, a tasty bite, and a good vibe. This photo was taken at HopMonk after a visit to the Sonoma house — the moment we realized it was the perfect place for our wedding, given how special both the home and the family have become to us.
A winery in the heart of Napa Valley that shares the Beaulieu name with Camille! Known for their Cabernet Sauvignon. Fun fact: Beaulieu Vineyard isn’t named after a family namesake — according to legend, it was inspired by the founder’s wife, who exclaimed, “Quel beau lieu!” (“What a beautiful place!” in French) upon seeing Rutherford in Napa Valley for the first time.
John's third cousins graciously accepted him, and us, upon our move to California. Since, we've attended many gatherings and celebrated many holidays with them at this house. This house and this family have become very special to us. We are beyond grateful to have the opportunity to marry here and share this special and precious piece of our life with you.
