You could spend a whole day in there. There are many places to go: Botanical Gardens, DeYong Art Museum, Acadamy of Sciences (Very Kid Friendly), Japanese's Tea Garden, Stow Lake.
Fort Funston

This is the nicest beach, from local's point of view. It is protected and away from the rode, very quiet. There are a lot of stairs to climb through!!

Flat beach, very easy to walk along. It can be cold and windy.

Walk the bridge or take a photo. Bring a jacket, it gets windy.
