GETTING AROUNDGETTING AROUND

We were just in Croatia in February, finalizing our wedding plans. There were no issues securing Ubers, or Taxis for transportation. Please note: 1.) Uber is usually much cheaper than a taxi service. 2.) there is no "Lyft" service in Croatia. For those of you that might like to retain a rental car, it can be done easily, just be aware that parking can be scarce, and winding coastal roads in villages and small towns can be challenging.

SHORT & SWEET! {SPLIT, CROATIA} If you are coming into Croatia for a quick in-and-out (just a few days) you may want to choose to stay in downtown Split, to be close to the airport, the actual wedding site, and the next days' Bon voyage send-off brunch at the Mokosh Restaurant. Suggested Arrival Dates: June 9th or 10th Suggested Departure Date: June 13th. Please see our "Split Hotel Recommendations" listed on this same page. YOU'RE ALL IN!! {Vinisce, Marina, or Trogir} If not, (Yay!) and you're staying for the whole weeks' festivities (ie: close friends and family) Be sure to arrive NO LATER than SUNDAY June 7th, or MONDAY June 8th. Jetlag can be rough, (time difference is 6 hours!) and keep in mind: There is a Private event VERY EARLY on Tuesday morning for family and the wedding party VIP's. Suggested Arrival Dates: Sat. Jun 6th, Sun. June 7th, or Mon. June 8th. Suggested Departure Dates: Saturday, June 13th, or Sunday, June 14th. SPU - Split Croatia - officially known as "Saint Jerome Airport" is located in Kastel Stafilic, Split Airport is approximately 19km or 12 miles from Split City Center, and is the closest airport to: Split, Vinisce, Marina, and Trogir.

Zagreb is the capital of Croatia and the busiest airport in the country. There are a lot of direct flights from most of the European cities, and connections to and from Croatia might be easier to achieve than from Split. This is especially convenient if you would want to rent a car and explore Croatia before or after the wedding. Travel time from Zagreb to Split is about 4 hours, on a rather picturesque highway, with many tunnels, mountains, and coastal views.
