Richmond is Virginia's state capital. The airport is approximately an hour from our wedding venue. Out of town travelers may find better flight options using this airport versus Norfolk or Newport News.

Washington D.C area Airports
Washington D.C will have the most flight options and for those looking to make a vacation out of the trip, this would be a great option! The two primary airports we would recommend are Dulles Internation Airport and Reagan National airport. Please be aware both of these airports are 2.5-3 hours from our wedding location. There are multiple options to reserve rental cars at the airport or take the Amtrak train south to our wedding venue.

For those traveling into Richmond or D.C. area airports, the Amtrak is a great option to consider. We have traveled on the Amtrak multiple times, and it is convenient and affordable. The Amtrak runs up the east coast, including multiple stops in the state of Virginia. There is an Amtrak station in Newport News, which is about a 15 minute car ride to our wedding venue.
